Baby Storytime

If you're new, first check out this introductory post to Baby Story Time.

I'm going on maternity leave in about a month, so I'm using that as an excuse to pull out some of my top favorite story time books. Doggies is such a fun one to do. So much barking! Plus, counting. You can stretch this one out by adding a lot of interactivity and really getting into the counting, but I just bark bark bark. Freight Train is a classic. It's simple and I love the mix of bright and dark colors. Also the Freight Train app is pretty fun, if you're into that sort of thing.

Run your fingers up baby’s arm, tickling the armpit on “choo choo” and then running back down the arm. Repeat with the other arm.

We’re going down a smooth road, a smooth road, a smooth road.
We’re going down a smooth road, a smooth road now.
We’re going down a bumpy road, a bumpy road, a bumpy road.

(to the tune of Shortnin’ Bread)

Every little cell in my body is happy

I’m so glad every little cell
In my body is happy and well
I’m so glad every little cell
In my body is happy and well
Every little cell in my body is happy
Every little cell in my body is well
